Weeks five and six were hectic so I decided to lump them together. I had some disappointments and revelations.
I haven’t seen any changes in my skin. I know it's early so I’m not overly concerned. However, it would be nice to know if these changes are making a difference. I guess only time will tell. My doctor recommended I see an oncologist to get a second opinion on my lab work. Who knows what he/she is going to say. I’m staying positive and hoping for the best.
I’ve found that when life gets busy, a lot of things drop off. I stuck to my diet but I ate at odd times and my meals weren’t well balanced. Some days my meals were super light because I only had time quickly grab what I could. I didn’t have time to exercise and juicing was out. I realize that pre-planning is essential if I want to maintain good health. I’m hoping to get back on track this week.
Our society is set up for us to be sick and on drugs. We leave our homes at the same time only to be stuck in traffic for hours. Stress starts. We work with at least one person we don't like. More stress. Most of us are doing jobs we hate. Stress galore. We come home to bills we can't pay. Major stress. We have to find the energy to deal with our kids and spouse. Stress and more stress. Then we have to prepare to do it all again the next day. There is absolutely no time to take care of ourselves. I wouldn't be surprised if the drug companies are really the ones running this country.
My new task is to create quick meals that are filling and taste good. I hate salads but I may have to find a couple recipes I can enjoy. I unexpectedly lost about an inch off my waist. If I lose any more weight, I might disappear so I have to increase my healthy fats.
